Basic information about the IMPACT Project

The main aim of the IMPACT project is to transform the quality of foreign language teaching in Czech higher education. The uniqueness of the project inheres in the launching of a wide range of the newest educational approaches and tools that have been methodically developed at Czech universities to date.

For the purpose of assuring conformity with the needs of the labor market and international competitive ability, the project has drawn into its activities a large number of interesting professionals with working experience abroad.

The project consists of 5 key activities (KA):

•  KA 1
  Methodical support for language teaching at schools of higher education
•   KA 2
  nnovation of concrete language courses within problem-solving environments
•  KA 3
  The development of collaborative teaching methods for specialized foreign language courses
•  KA 4
  Standardization of the assessment of foreign language competencies for specialized foreign language courses
• KA 5
  Training foreign language teachers in foreign languages with an emphasis on their utilization in practice, and supporting the internationalization of the higher education environment
